We’d been going to a therapist together and it wasn’t going well so by the time I left he wasn’t surprised. When I initially asked to go to the therapist together he was surprised. I think he was fine the way things were but in my opinion, he’d checked out long before that. He wasn’t engaged in the relationship at all.
