This piece resonated with me. I’m growing weary of so many people telling me they don’t understand why men aren’t lined up to date me. I’m weary of the ones I meet who choose someone else. Like you said, I wish I didn’t want it so badly. But I do. And I don’t know if I’ll ever get to a place like you finally did. Yet I suppose it’s time to accept my situation and land there.
