I don't know which is the better ending. Affairs can be so much more complicated than people realize. And just because mine ended the way it did doesn't mean it that all of them should end this way.

I do know of a few relationships that began like yours that have endured. I think it depends on a number of things. And you're right--we can't help our hearts.
