I agree with Kit's comment--I think you summed up the problem and it'd be helpful to understand what systemic support looks like. My kids are grown now and I have a few co-workers in situations similar to yours. What are some ideas that would be helpful for them? I remember back to simply slogging through those days which wasn't the best for anyone.
