A New-Fashioned Chain Letter
Will Hull’s procrastination prompt eventually sucked me in.
When Will Hull’s prompt “Procrastination Can Help Us Write, Right?” arrived in my email box, I appropriately procrastinated. I resisted.
I don’t know any fun facts! I don’t want to share my real name! Argh!
But sometimes responding to a prompt gets the juices flowing. Sometimes a prompt is what I need to catch that spark again. And they’re relational, right?!
So here goes…
Please tell a fun weird fact and how you learned it.
NOTE: This progression of facts tilts more to the side of weird than to the side of fun. Just a warning.
A weird fact I’ve learned recently is that if a mouse decides to meander across your countertop and then takes a nose dive into your toaster to investigate all those delicious smelling bread crumbs inside he might not make it out.
He may, in fact, meet his maker there.
His little body may, in fact, be lodged under the lever so that each time you frustratingly press it down to get your bread to drop and toast it won’t connect.
His corpse may, in fact, be discovered only when you ask your son to take apart…
